Study: Philadelphia's foreclosure-diversion program is a success

One Philadelphia man, who saved his home by working through the city's mandatory foreclosure-diversion program, said his mortgage lender was finally "forced" to sit down with him to work out a deal. A new study suggests the three-year-old diversion plan is having a positive effect residential property disputes.

Glaxo real estate reassessment may cost school districts millions

School districts, dependent on property taxes to fund education, are struggling to hold onto tax monies under old assessment values. In Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, two school districts are in a nail-biting commercial property tax dispute with one large taxpayer - GlaxoSmithKline.

Pennsylvania zoning height dispute pits high school against town

Unionville High School is building a new auditorium that is giving East Marlborough Township, Pennsylvania, zoning law officials a $3.6 million headache. The township says the auditorium is too tall to be in compliance with municipal codes, but the school says its project was approved prior to construction.
